Angel

I was walking on the sidewalk
Across from me was standing an angel in jeans
She was short and thin
Had strawberry blond hair with those sky blue eyes
She looked lost and lonely
So something from in my soul pulled me across the street tward her
She looked up from beneath her bangs with that sweet childish face
Don’t cry angel I said
Did you call me angel?
And then I realized I was speeking to a person
Let me take you home please
I don’t have one
Then let me build a castle for you
She lightened up her sweet face and smiled
My world trembled for that smile and I realized how it was small in compare with her
I wanted to shout out Marry me!
But how could I? I just met a complete stranger…So I composed myself
Why are you crying?
I’m lost she said, now distracted looking to a butterfly, she was pretty childish
Adorably childish
What is your name angel? I asked, again fascinated with her beauty
Evangelina she said in a crystal voice
What a curious name
It means good little angel
And then she smiled again but this time a different smile (if there are different smiles…I don’t now)
She looked happy but in her inside I knew she was still crying
Why are you crying?
Because I fell in love
And is that a reason t cry?
That person doesn’t love me back
Oh…That is a reason to cry…
It doesn’t matter; he made me happy, I was lucky to have gotten to know him
He doesn’t know what he lost
Maybe in front of his eyes I’m not that much to lose
In mine I could say you are
I’m so sorry I can’t say the same, I barley know you
That was the angel, the most beautiful angel I’ve ever seen and yet she wasn’t mine and wouldn’t be with out even knowing her
She looked down and lost her sight thinking in something else
Are you okay?
I guess I mean I can’t cry over something that is gone
Is it really gone?

Can’t you replace it?
She looked up very mad
You can’t ever replace a person; there isn’t a soul in the world that is the same as another
Oh I see, I said embarrassed
I’m going home, she said walking away still mad
I caught up with her and asked again
Were you going, you said you don’t have a home!
Well I’ll find one
Please forgive me, I didn’t mean it! Don’t go I need you!
She stopped and looked up at me, and then she smiled again and touched my face with her finger tips gently and I leaned my face in to my hand
I love you angel, I barely know you but I love you, please let me fix you, let me fill up the hole inside of you

I was so surprised she had said yes, so she took my hand and booth of us walked down the sidewalk I had once meet an angel and know I was holding a girls hand
