Literature Text

Amid the eager public
I play the words in my mind
Like tuna fish they watch
Happy with lies

One face stands out
Disfigured with hate
Shining as a single bulb light
In a silent dark cave

She knows I've deceived
She knows I've lied
With no greater intention
Than satisfying my pride

How much time has actually gone by?
The papers feel overweighted
For within my hands rest
The lies I've created

As my hands shake
I realize neither of us won
Yet I played the game
Stretching your pain for so long

This lonely empty moment
Filled with nothing but worry
I kept my eyes shut
So much for false glory
Poem for #:iconlive-love-write: prompt. I made this in my math class, I write best in school under a very opressing momment, really don't know why. I would appreaciate some feedback, especially in what I can improve.
The title has a special meaning for me, thought it seams not to make any sense.

Thank you for participating in our prompt at #Live-Love-Write! :iconlaspinplz:

This poem flowed very well! The ending note as well selected as well. My only recommendation as to where you can improve is to be careful with your middle stanzas; it's important to keep them meaningful, even if you want to keep a reader focused on a specific area of the poem.

Keep up the good work! :D
